With the entry into force of Law No. 6769; Although the Decree Laws 551, 556, 554 and 555 have been abolished, according to the provision of the Provisional Article 1 of the aforementioned Law; Since the applications made before the publication date of the Law will be concluded in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force at the date of application, the implementation of the said Decree Laws will continue for a while.

In accordance with the Decree-Law No. 703 dated 02 July 2018 on the Amendment of Certain Laws and Statutory Decrees in order to Adapt to the Amendments Made in the Constitution, the name of the Law No. 5000 was changed to the "Law on Patent and Trademark Attorneys and Certain Regulations"; With the "Presidential Decree on the Organization of the Institutions and Organizations Affiliated, Related and Related to the Ministries, and the Organization of Other Institutions and Organizations" dated 15 July 2018 and numbered 4, the provisions regarding the establishment and institutional structure of TÜRKPATENT were transferred to the said Decree.
