Green Cities Peaceful Generations 🌲
A sapling planting event was held within the scope of the 27 Million Seedlings Campaign YeşilAntep project for a greener Gaziantep by the Gaziantep Development Foundation (GAGEV) under the coordination of the Gaziantep Governorship.
Speaking at the event program of the campaign launched with the slogan ‘Green cities peaceful generations’, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül stated that by taking care of the saplings, one is actually taking care of the future.
Expressing that the number of saplings planted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Gaziantep in the last fifteen years is over 40 million, Governor Gül said, “Gaziantep is getting greener every year than the previous year. But this is not enough. Our population is increasing every day. In this context, we want to plant 27 million saplings locally as GAGEV, with our Metropolitan Municipality, our chambers and you. Our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has planted and will plant over 40 million saplings. They will continue to increase. Gaziantep will be even greener with the saplings we and you will plant in schools, hospitals, streets and in front of our houses.” Gül also stated that an electronic donation system has been created through GAGEV and emphasized that those who want to donate can make a donation by selecting a location from www.yesilantep.org and can gift trees to their friends as a means of awareness. We are protecting our future by protecting the saplings Governor Gül, especially after the saplings are planted, drew attention to the fact that the most important thing is to protect the saplings, and said, “It is even more important to protect and look after the saplings that are planted. Let’s protect them by not forgetting that the saplings are living beings, we are protecting our own future by protecting the saplings.”
